Meet our lead doctor

Dr. David Cosman - HK Registered Chiropractor

​​Dr. Cosman is a veteran chiropractor (Palmer 1984) and certified practitioner of Fascial Manipulation® (Stecco FM 2019).  His sports therapy skills tied him down with athletes and teams, attending practices, competitions and tours.  Dr. Cosman has expertise in custom made foot orthotics since 1985, and yes, he can tape an ankle.

From YYC to HKG

Practicing in his home-town Calgary, he cared for athletes in track, combative sports, hockey, swimming/diving/water polo to mention a few.  Overlap in sports brought in the bobsledders; Dr. Cosman subsequently toured with the Canadian Olympic Team and World Cup Tour in 1988/89, caring for the bob-athletes of many other national teams as well.

 

Dr. Cosman moved to HK in 1996 and commonly worked in Bangkok with his buddy Dr. Don Nakaya Nielsen DC.

 

Forever a student and now a teacher, Dr. C is a lecturer on chiropractic orthopedics, fascial science, foot orthotics, active movement technique and sports science at an accredited chiropractic institute. He performs CPD lectures and sets up research projects on clinical advances in movement science.

The Cosman Health Group practice now cares for athletes, families, children and mature adults with special interest in circulation and recovery. Dr. C leads his clinic team with case-by-case collaboration; sharing expertise, insight and experience regarding assessment and treatment planning.

"Making The Box Bigger"

By 2015, the Cosman Health Group practice evolved by using recovery methods, wisdom and modalities used in advanced sports injury chiropractic and physiotherapy care such as Stecco Fascial Manipulation®, Intermittent Vacuum Therapy, Biocybernetic microcurrent-frequency-balancing and neuro-myo-fascial movement science for examples.

With this, Cosman Health Group had carefully established care protocols for mature patients and others who are often written off as non-responding or clinically failed patients.  Sometimes there is an alternative, and Cosman’s passion in continued professional development fosters the practice-culture of advanced investigation and treatment that combines traditional and advances in the health care industry.

Doctors of Chiropractic - Government Registered in Hong Kong

The chiropractic profession is regulated by the Government of Hong Kong’s Chiropractors Council, which is established under the Chiropractors Registration Ordinance, Chapter 428, Laws of Hong Kong.   

​

To be called a chiropractor or chiropractic doctor in Hong Kong, one must be registered with The Council. The Council is responsible for registration of chiropractors, maintenance of professional standards and disciplinary regulation of the chiropractic profession.

​

Statutory registration of chiropractors in Hong Kong began in 1993 upon enactment of the Chiropractors Registration Ordinance.
